I enjoy houseplants but I have never had a green thumb. I have tried many times and to this day I still have a few plants I try to keep alive. Some people do very well with plants. I found this great idea to share with you if you are looking for a kitchen window plant. I have never tried this myself but if you have tried it I would like to know about your experience.



To start lemon seeds, you can try these steps:



  1. 1. Prepare the seeds
    Cut a lemon into wedges and remove the seeds. Rinse the seeds and soak them in lukewarm water for 15 minutes. You can also soak them overnight if possible. Then, remove the seed coat with a small knife.

  1. 2. Germinate the seeds
    Wrap the seeds in a moist paper towel and place them in a plastic bag. Put the bag in a warm, sunny location, like a windowsill, and monitor for growth. Roots should appear in 5–14 days.

  1. 3. Plant the seeds
    Fill a small pot with a well-draining potting mix, such as John Innes No 1 with added grit. Plant the germinated seeds half an inch deep, lightly tamp the soil, and water them in. Keep the soil moist but not soggy at 70°F (21°C). To retain moisture and reduce evaporation, you can cover the soil with plastic wrap.

Holidays and special events like the Super Bowl is a great time for dessert dip. I enjoy a selection of cut fruits and vegetables. Pretzels and crackers go well with dessert dip. I like the combination of salty and sweet. I like this recipe because it is very easy and it actually tastes better than what I have purchased at the market.

I recently created an account on Threads, a Facebook company. It is similar to Twitter (X) and is growing in popularity among social media platforms. I follow food-related accounts and found this funny food meme.



This meme is adorable and made me smile. I enjoy blogging recipes and cooking. Cake and pie is my favorite. I try to stay in shape and sugar is a big weakness for me. It is hard to say no to a great cake. When the cheap store-bought birthday cake is brought into the breakroom at work I find myself saying "Happy Birthday!" as I stuff the cake in my face.



It is easy for me to indulge in sweets of any kind. It's my choice. My Thoughts On Almond Crescents:



Crescents are so enjoyable and there are many different types to enjoy. I am an almond lover and I even drink almond milk because of my intolerance to milk. I enjoy almonds sliced, baked, chopped, and ground. I enjoy Almond Joy and Mounds candy bars. I also enjoy whole-seasoned almonds. The spicy almonds are my favorite.



Almond Crescents Recipe
- (Pies & Pastries)



Ingredients:



  • 2 cups butter
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups ground almonds
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla
  • Powdered sugar



Instructions:



  1. Cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Stir in the flour, almonds, and vanilla to make a stiff dough.
  3. Roll out the dough on a well-floured surface to a 1/2-inch thickness.
  4. Use a round cutter and overlap cuts to make the crescents.
  5. Reroll the unused dough, and continue cutting until all the dough is used.

My Thoughts On Cornbread:



My earliest memory of cornbread is how my grandmother liked to make and eat leftover cornbread. She would bake cornbread in a skillet and sometimes there would be uneaten cornbread the next day. When she went for a snack she would cut the leftover cornbread and crumble it into a glass. She would fill the glass with milk to cover the cornbread and then eat it with a spoon like cereal.



The first time I saw her do that I was a little confused. I wondered how it could taste good. She invited me to try it. After trying crumbled leftover cornbread in a glass with milk, I was sold. Since that time I have developed a lactose issue but I still eat leftover cornbread the way my grandmother taught me, except I use almond milk now.



Jalapeno Cornbread Recipe - (Breads & Rolls)



Ingredients:



  • 3 cups cornbread mix (3 small boxes, Jiffy)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs (beaten)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large onion (grated)
  • 1 cup cream-style corn
  • 1/4 cup jalapeno peppers (finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 pound crisp bacon (crumbled)
  • 1 1/2 cups American cheese (grated)



Instructions:



  1. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan or three 8x8 inch baking pans.
  2. Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
