Stuffed Bell Pepper Recipe | Classic - (Main Dishes, Beef)

Ingredients:

  • 5 to 6 medium green peppers
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (8 ounces)
  • Parmesan cheese (grated, optional)

Directions:

Cut off tops, and remove seeds, and membrane from green peppers. Pre-cook peppers for 5 minutes in boiling salted water. Drain. Cook rice for 20 minutes until almost done. Meanwhile, brown meat; add garlic and onions and cook until tender, but not brown. Stir in salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, rice, and 1 can of tomato sauce. Stuff peppers, and stand them upright in a casserole or small baking dish. Pour another can of tomato sauce over the stuffed peppers. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until done. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired. This makes 5 to 6 servings.

Thoughts On Stuffed Bell Peppers:

As a child, I wasn't fond of vegetables at dinner time but I always ate them when served for dinner. That's how I was raised but when my mother made stuffed bell peppers I really enjoyed them. They have always been one of my favorite foods. Stuffed Bell Peppers have a flavor that stands out and many people want them. Some recipes add other seasonings but I think the simplicity of this recipe helps the bell pepper flavor to stand out.

More Information For You:

Stuffed Bell Pepper began to show in American recipes around the 1890s. There are variations of the recipe from Spain, India, Mexico, Hungary, Romania, and the Philippines. My Thoughts For Today:

For those with a DREAM!

My wife bought me a T-shirt. As a Missouri resident, I do play the Missouri lottery on occasion. I don't spend a lot, just a dollar or two. The dream of winning the lottery lives in most of us. I have won small amounts but I believe I will hit a jackpot. When I do you can be sure I will share my adventure with you here.

What would you do if you won the lottery jackpot? It is fun to think about. Maybe you would share with family and friends. You could take an exotic vacation and experience what it is like to live in financial freedom. Can you imagine it? I try to live each day with the feeling of being a lottery winner. I think with gratitude for all the blessings in my life. I am grateful for family, friends, and health. This is the real state I try to live in every day. Do you do this? Even if it is a cup of coffee at home where the quietness of life can be enjoyed, it can be something to be grateful for. Can you list some of your blessings? I believe you can if you think about it. Give it a try!

Keep on cooking!

My Thoughts For Today: (secret bonus recipe)

Great copy recipe!

I don't know the exact recipe for Texas Roadhouse butter but this is a great copy. I love going to Texas Roadhouse for a steak and I always look forward to their hot rolls. The rolls come with honey butter. I usually tell the server to keep the rolls coming so I have to take my meal carry-out so I can enjoy the leftovers later. I like to get the 20-ounce bone-in ribeye steak with green beans. Next time I go to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant I will make a video for you.

Keep on cooking!

My recipe from yesterday is called Shrimp Curry With Basmati Rice and if you love Indian food then I am sure you will love this recipe. Check it out and let me know what you think! Your feedback is important to me.

My Thoughts For Today:

Let sleeping dogs lie.

This is my youngest daughter's dog. He is very small. He is also very sweet and spoiled. I am mostly to blame for him being so spoiled. He loves to lay on my lap and nap while I write. If you look up "lap dog" in the dictionary you will probably see this picture of him on my lap. You could say he is the "Poster Dog" for lap dogs. So when you read my posts there is a great chance this little dog is lying on my lap making it difficult for me to work. It's ok. I love that little dog.

I got to attend a birthday party today for a little relative. It was the 3rd birthday party for my great-nephew. He is a cool little guy and reminds me of his dad when he was that age. Kids and dogs grow too fast. I believe it is best to enjoy them when they are small and do our best to make them happy.

Keep on cooking!

I absolutely love Indian food and this Shrimp Curry recipe is SHRIMPOLICIOUS!!! The curry flavor and other spices give it that special taste. My Thoughts For Today:

I found another funny food meme I thought you would enjoy. I am sure this dehydrated water is not cheap. My first thought is dehydrated water is just air. So basically, this meme is trying to sell us air. Isn't that marketing for you and to emphasize that companies will try and sell anything. If anything let this meme remind you to hydrate well in the warmer months. We could all drink a little more water.

I would love to know what you think about this meme and if you have any jokes to add. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy this Shrimp Curry With Basmati Rice recipe.
